Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Khidmatuna: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat recognizes the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to support scholarly communication while emphasizing transparency, academic integrity, confidentiality, and human accountability.

For Authors

Authors may use AI-assisted technologies to support manuscript preparation, provided that such use is transparently disclosed and does not compromise the originality, accuracy, or integrity of the work. Substantive AI use must be declared, including the tools employed and their purposes. Routine spelling and grammar checks that do not generate substantive content do not require disclosure.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for all manuscript content, including AI-assisted text, data analysis, images, and references.

For Editors

Editors may use appropriately authorized AI-assisted tools for limited administrative or language-related tasks, provided that confidentiality and data protection are maintained. Such use must be documented and disclosed as appropriate. AI must not replace independent scientific assessment or editorial decision-making. Confidential manuscripts must not be uploaded to unauthorized AI platforms.

For Reviewers

Reviewers are strictly prohibited from using AI tools to analyze, evaluate, or assess submitted manuscripts, generate peer-review comments, or formulate review recommendations. Uploading any part of a confidential manuscript or review material to AI applications is prohibited.

Compliance and Accountability

Undisclosed or inappropriate AI use may result in editorial investigation and appropriate action in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy. All parties remain responsible for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of scholarly publishing.
