This article discusses the mentoring activities of the team from the Syarifuddin Lumajang Islamic Institute at the al-hikmah madrasah school in Pasrujambe Village, Senduro District, Lumajang Regency. The topic presented to students was about communication strategies used in the guidance and counseling process. This is necessary because students will deal with various forms of problems experienced by students who come from diverse backgrounds and personalities. This mentoring uses the learning service method by interacting directly with students. The hope is that these mentoring activities can be carried out comprehensively. In the context of community service, learning service functions as a bridge between educational institutions and local communities. Students are given an understanding of matters related to the process of providing counseling as a treatment step and as a form of prevention. As well as providing students with an understanding that PPL students can also help students overcome the problems they are facing, just like guidance and counseling teachers at school.
