Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Ar-Rahmah plays a crucial role in shaping a generation of Muslims who understand and practice the Qur'an. The Qur'an memorization program is the main focus in preparing students to become hafidz and hafidzah. This research analyzes the communication patterns at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Ar-Rahmah that contribute to the increased effectiveness of the Qur'an memorization program. This research identifies several key issues: the communication patterns at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Ar-Rahmah in enhancing the Qur'an memorization program, the roles of caregivers, teachers, and mentors towards students in the Qur'an memorization program, and the obstacles students face in improving the Qur'an memorization program. The objectives of this research are to explain the communication patterns at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Ar-Rahmah, evaluate the roles of caregivers, teachers, and mentors, and identify the obstacles students face in improving the Qur'an memorization program. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a participatory observational approach, and data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The conclusion of this research is that the communication patterns at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Ar-Rahmah use a Y and Star or all-channel communication structure, the roles of teachers and mentors are very significant through interpersonal communication and supporting activities, and the obstacles include laziness, truancy, and lack of motivation.
